1Bio
Joanna McGlynn is an interdisciplinary artist, incorporating elements of drawing, textiles, writing, print, carnival and installation in her practice.
In a society where overindulgence became the norm of the past decade, Joanna returns to simplicity.
2Workshops
Joanna McGlynn specialises in designing and delivering visual art workshop programmes.
Workshops are carefully tailored to meet specific requirements of individual clients, arts organisations or community groups. Past projects include working with children, schools, the elderly, adult education, multi–cultural and recreational groups.
Joanna aims to create a stimulating, fun-filled, imaginative and creative learning experience for participants.
Workshops are offered in a safe, inclusive environment with an emphasis on process led activities to encourage individual creativity and an exploration of ones own imagination.
In addition to this, childrens workshops can be designed to compliment the existing strands of the primary schools visual art curriculum - drawing, paint and colour, print, clay, construction and fabric and fibre.
Workshops can be designed as once-offs, for half or full days or over a succession of weeks. Prices vary depending on these details. A sample of workshops may be viewed here. For further information please contact Joanna here.
Make Your Mark!
Make your mark and hang it! Print and mark making techniques, worked onto fabric, will be used in this workshop to produce your own individually designed wall hanging.
